A native of Colombia, South America. Father Jairo attended Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary where he earned a B.A and his M.A.

He was ordained to the priesthood on June 6, 2020. After his ordination he served as Parochial Vicar at Saint Francis of Assisi in Raleigh for two years.

On June 28, 2022, he became the Parish Administrator of Saint Ann Church in Edenton and All Souls Mission in Columbia. On June 27, 2023 Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama Pasqualetto appointed him Pastor. Additionally, he serves as Dean of the Albemarle Deanery.
