Corpus Christi Feast and procession

There are many feast days on the Catholic calendar.  You will find one (or more) nearly every day of the year.  Feast Days help us experience our faith on a deeper level with songs, prayers, silence and adoration.  The procession for The Feast of Corpus Christi gives us a change to publicly share our faith and devotion to Christ in the Eucharist.

I look forward to processions, especially this one.  As I walk out the doors of St Ann’s I am so thankful for another beautiful experience.  This is a moment to walk with Christ.  What is on my heart right now?  So much! True contentment (Joy) , love, excitement.  I want to start a proper conversation; a thank you for the blessings that are too numerous to count in one lifetime.  The overwhelming feeling of gratitude. The blessings far outweigh whatever I think may have gone wrong.

How many times have we asked “Where are you” in this moment or that situation?  He is with us today, THIS moment.  EVERY moment. If we hold out our hand, He will take it and everything we carry into His hands.

His Real Presence returns to us at every Eucharistic celebration and every adoration. As a new Catholic, I pictured Christ’s face when I looked at the consecrated host and said a short prayer “Lord, I believe. Help my un-belief.”  And he will.  If you put your heart into it, I promise,  He will do that and so much more.

Jubilee: God's Invitation to You this Year

Through the Church, we find ourselves in the same position as those lucky few in that synagogue in Galilee 2,000 years ago. We find in front of us the same declaration of jubilee by the same saving God. Holy Mother Church, The Body through which God works, addresses the entire people of God around the world and institutes in 2025 another jubilee year.
